Product details of Sileni Estates Cellar Selection Pinot Noir 750mL

Sileni Estates was born from a long standing interest in wine by Graeme Avery. In late 1997,
along with financial director Chris Cowper and winemaker Grant Edmonds, he established Sileni as an
export oriented producer, committed to crafting world-class fine wines. Sileni Estates is a major
vineyard and winery development in Hawke’s Bay, which is New Zealand’s oldest established
vineyard area. Since the first vintage in 1998 the wines have won world wide acclaim. The
name Sileni is derived from Roman mythology where the Sileni, or demigods of Bacchus
the God of Wine, celebrated the end of good harvest with indulgence in good food,
good wine and good company. The vineyards and winery are based near
Hastings, Hawke’s Bay, on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand

Varietal berry and ripe cherry aromas, with vibrant flavours of red berries and spice. A fresh and
lively palate, with silky tannins and a lingering finish. Ripe black cherry aromas are
supported on the palate with juicy dark berry fruit
and fine tannins on the finish.
